Rescue drives why we do what we do, how what we do, and who we are on mission with. Jesus came to save us. He also came to rescue us and set us free. “To be rescued, then to rescue.” – Luke 4:18-19

Grace And Truth

We will always teach God’s Word with grace and truth, recognizing its authority and our need to adjust our lives to it. We are committed to live in the tension of all grace and all truth, and not settle for some combination of the two that makes us more comfortable or politically correct. Jesus came full of grace and truth. – Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6,8, John 1:14

Come And See

We intentionally invest in relationships, leverage our influence, and invite people to DCC so that they can experience the awesome and unconditional love of Jesus – Mark 2, Matthew 28

Raw Community

It’s non-negotiable with us. Real life change requires real, transparent, authentic, and raw relationships… a willingness to say “you are not alone, me too”. Real life change also happens best in the context of a smaller community. – Acts 2:42-47 and 4:32-35.

Cultural Relevance

The message of Jesus never changes but our methodology must. We intentionally design all of our environments in a way that helps people to hear the message of Jesus through the lens of the culture that we live in. Sometimes that means our services will contain elements that you wouldn’t necessarily expect to see in church. We will never lose sight of those outside the walls of DCC. “All things to all men to win and rescue some.” – 1 Corinthians 9:19-22

Life On Mission

It’s all about two stories, God’s and ours. We recognize that God distributes Spiritual Gifts (time, talent, treasure) to equip us to jump on mission with him in the larger story that He is telling. We leverage those gifts in order to help him rescue others who are hurting and in need of the healing that Jesus offers. Finding the life we are looking for requires living on mission. – Romans 12, Galatians 5
